NICHOLAS GOLDREICH (Partner - Head of the Dispute Resolution Department)

Nick is the head of the dispute resolution department and has been a qualified litigator for more than 25 years.  He has been a Partner at Comptons since 1990.  Nick specialises in property and commercial litigation to which he brings an enthusiastic and pragmatic approach. Nick's professional objectives are to achieve the most favourable outcome for his clients in the shortest possible time and at the least cost to them.  He is an effective negotiator and has a strong commitment to alternative dispute resolution. Martin joined Comptons in 2003 and became a partner in 2004. He has over 25 years litigation experience in a broad range of property and commercial litigation. JAMES COMPTON  - (Partner -Commercial Property/Corporate Department)

After obtaining an upper second class degree in law with honours from the University of Sussex and completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, James completed his training at Comptons, qualifying in 2004. James initially practised in litigation with a strong company commercial bias.

He has since specialised in company/commercial law and commercial property. James acts for a variety of individuals, companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships from vocations such as digital media, e-commerce, information technology, stockbroking and property management in both contentious and non contentious matters. James became a Partner on 1 May 2009.

SUSANNA GILL (Solicitor – Property, Probate and Wills Department)

Susanna obtained a degree in Geography at King’s College London in 2004 before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course both at the College of Law.

After completing the final stage of her Training Contract at Comptons, Susanna qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Susanna specializes in residential conveyancing, lease extensions, freehold purchases, remortgages, probate and wills. ELAINE SMITH (Solicitor - Litigation Department)

Elaine graduated with a degree in history from the University of Leicester before completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in London.

 

Elaine qualified as a solicitor in March 2009 with a firm in south east London and has worked at Comptons since November 2009.  Elaine works in the litigation department and deals with a broad range of cases from landlord and tenant matters to contract disputes, professional negligence claims and insolvency matters.  Elaine aims to provide clients with the most cost effective solution to their dispute and keeps clients informed at every stage of their case.

JEAN COMPTON (Practice Manager/PA to Nicholas Goldreich – Partner Head of the Dispute Resolution Department)

Jean assisted with the formation of the practice in May 1987 and has been involved in the development of the firm since that date. Jean is responsible for the day-to-day practice management and administration of the firm on all levels including support staff and secretarial liaison and training.

Jean has also been the personal assistant/paralegal to Nicholas Goldreich – Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Department - since his commencement of employment in 1989.
