JOHN SHELDRICK  (Partner – Property Department )

John has more than 25 years experience in property matters. He joined Comptons in December 2003 and became a Partner a year later. John undertakes a varied case load of residential conveyancing of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages. He acts for buy to let investors and for clients selling and buying at auctions. Since joining Comptons John has also gained a wealth of experience in dealing with collective leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions for landlords and tenants. John favours a traditional hands-on approach enabling successful and speedy outcome.

Martin joined Comptons in 2003 and became a partner in 2004. He has over 25 years litigation experience in a broad range of property and commercial litigation. JAMES COMPTON  - (Partner -Commercial Property/Company Department)

After obtaining an upper second class degree in law with honours from the University of Sussex and completing the Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School, James completed his training at Comptons, qualifying in 2004. James initially practised in litigation with a strong company commercial bias.

He has since specialised in company/commercial law and intellectual property. James acts for a variety of individuals, companies, partnerships and limited liability partnerships from vocations such as digital media, e-commerce, information technology, stockbroking and property management in both contentious and non contentious matters. James became a Partner on 1 May 2008.

JEAN COMPTON (Practice Manager/PA to Nicholas Goldreich – Partner Head of the Dispute Resolution Department)

Jean assisted with the formation of the practice in May 1987 and has been involved in the development of the firm since that date. Jean is responsible for the day-to-day practice management and administration of the firm on all levels including support staff and secretarial liaison and training.

Jean has also been the personal assistant/paralegal to Nicholas Goldreich – Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Department - since his commencement of employment in 1989.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Cashier and Administrators and has been associated with Legal Accounting since 1971. He managed at a medium sized North London Practice for 10 years before deciding to go self employed in 1987. He became contracted to Comptons in September 1987 where he has been an integral part of the firm ever since.
