If you are selling your property on the open market you need a HIP to market your property with an estate agent or risk a fine for you and/or your estate agent. We can produce a HIP for you at the cost of £450 (including vat) for all the compulsory components of your HIP. If you then instruct Comptons to carry out your conveyancing when you have agreed the sale of your property, you will benefit from a discount of £100 plus vat off our usual conveyancing sale fees. 

Your HIP should be ready within 2 days of the Energy Inspector visiting your home and we will then provide you with your HIP by e-mail or on a CD, so that you can give it to your estate agent for them to make copies (or we can send it your agent direct). We can also provide you with a hard copy for no extra charge.  

Your HIP will comprise an energy certificate, a copy of your legal title, a local authority personal search, a drainage search, an index and sale statement. You may not market your property until you have applied for the energy certificate and searches.  

You can pay for your HIP by credit card, debit card or cash and we will require payment before ordering your HIP.  If you would like additional voluntary components please contact us to discuss the pricing.
